Skyline GT-R prototype on U.S. soil!
Supposedly this picture was taken in New Mexico.

Maybe it is New Mexico, but it looks like several Asian people in the background.
I'm not saying this can't be true but I think it very unlikely.
The car won't be introduced until the Tokyo Auto Show in the fall and the peformance testing and adjustments are being done in Europe...I can't see any good reason for a car to be here in the U.S.

Yah, I know it would be labeled a nissan over there, but I can't identify the logo in the front. I didn't think they had their large suvs over there either. Last time I went the only suvs I saw were american imported.
I hate to burst their bubble, but it's been snowing over here. It's far from hot here.
But given the building design, logos, and mountains, I'd say it's got a good chance at being NM or AZ.

I have to agree 100% I've never been to Japan or Europe but it just seems like the look of the landscape in the background, snow, and the CAFE gas station they are at just doesn't say a foreign country to me. Also the Infinity QX just seems out of place in Europe unless the testing crew following the Skyline were using it.
And some have said why have the Skyline test here. I say why not if Nissan wants to do some cold weather testing in a lightly populated dessert area away from prying eyes whom might recognize the car in Japan. Welcome to New Mexico, enjoy your stay. Notice that this shot wasn't on a know auto spypic site. Because they didn't know it was there....
No matter where that picture of the Skyline was taken I like it a lot better in silver than the picture of the orange one.

I hate to burst your bubble guys but there is very little chance the car is in the U.S. But let's just assume it is for the moment...
Every automotive source will tell you that the amount of secrecy surrounding the GT-R is almost unheard of…given that, how likely do any of you really think it is that Nissan will be driving it around public roads AND stopping at the local 7-11 for a fill-up???
Lets also keep in mind that other than the fact that it will be sold in North America, Nissan North America has ZERO to do with the GT-R.
Nissan does have testing facilities in AZ and while it is possible, albeit unlikely, that one is there, the chance of it being on the road AND unprotected by security to keep potential photographers away is, shall I say, minimal.

Saw this same picture and SW location report on autoblog.com yesterday. Didin't figure it was worth posting because we'd already seen spy pics of the car.
Nice work there. I couldn't read the sign on my screen.
I like the looks of the car more with the bra. Hides the super busy front end. The wheels look good too.
