Sedan and Wagon Mustangs???
MY LITTLE PONY
seriously, tho... the prob I have with this is... both the f-bod and the mustang are designed solely to be coupes. After messing with several sedans, f-bods, and one C5, I've noticed there are very obvious and fundamental geometrical differences in cars' layouts, even when comparing the coupe version of a car which also offers a sedan. And the differences make the sedan-based car less desirable from a performance viewpoint.

I seriously doubt that Ford would take it's very carefully nurtured Mustang brand equity and blow it for some quick and fleeting sales.
But if this means that the Mustang's D2C architecture will finally proliferate and spawn some new products, all I've got to say is, IT'S ABOUT TIME.
Could it be that D2C might become Ford's modern day replacement for the Fox platform? If I were a Lincoln product planner, I'd be all over this, like stink on poop. After Ford finishes engineering an IRS for it that is.

And quite possibly cause an uproar bigger and more entertaining than the 4-door Charger did.......
Would this be an issue at all if Detroit could built an enthusist's sedan that came with a stick shift, didn't weight close to or over 4000, and quite honestly didn't rely on needing a V8 engine for excitement?
