Saw this picture and instantly thought of Charlie (3rd gen next to 5th gen)

Two airbags, some speakers, a computer, an LCD screen, a gauge cluster, a blower motor, the radio and HVAC control panel, a bunch of HVAC ducting, valves, and vents, the metal structure that it all bolts to, the dash pad...
I wonder if the steering wheel and related stuff are included in that total. If not, I guess it's only one airbag...

And no, the steering wheel was not included.

Correct. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see that a supercharged Z28 model drop the weight difference further. Most of the supercharged tuner Camaro SS models weigh about the same as the current iron block GT500.

I read all of this thread I could, simply amazing read, im going to put the link on TGO if thats cool with yall..
I love my third gen Z28, it's what MOM had when I was growing up! All tho, she still rubs it in that hers was much prettier which it was. She had the metallic gray t-top 85 Z28 with black skirts and wheels, and trust me with the louvers and tinted windows, it was SWEET!All my friends wanted to cruise, especially with the t-tops off.
There was a comment about TGO members being the future of the Camaro hobby, which I somewhat agree with. As BIG as the 5th gens are, I still see new Camaro sales as the key to keeping this car alive. After an 8 year absence, and GM getting into financial trouble, I am praying this crap will be just a memory and not some last breath.
Anyway, I really LOVE my third gen, as a matter of fact, I will NOT take a job unless it allows money for mods and rec time with her. lol Talk about a Camaro NUT CASE!
Anyway, here's some pics of my baby, 106,000 miles, but SERIOUSLY maintained. The gray was repainted white after 94 because it looked "old" but I am actually thinking about putting it back on. Along with the Z28 decal stripes that are around the bottom.
Hope you liked it! I love it!
