Early this evening I saw a white G6 driving around Lansing and all I can say is wow! Very sharp looking car. It also had Michigan manufacturing plates. I saw the concept car last year in Detroit and I think it looks even better on the street.

I talked to the guy who was driving it at a stop light for a few seconds and he said it had a 3.9 litre and a six speed manual. It had at least 17 inch wheels too that looked pretty good. IMO the front of it looks a lot like the current GTO.

He mentioned it was an engineering car, and I said that I was really looking forward to seeing what the next GTO looks like (2006). The funny part was that he said he works on that design team, and even he doesn't know what it is going to look like! Thought that was pretty interesting.

My wife really liked the G6 too. We'll likely get one to replace her 99 Grand Am in another year or so after seeing how nice they look. Hopefully it will be the AWD 285 horse model!

Doesn't seem that the AWD model will be out the first year, maybe someone here knows.

 

The AWD model wont be around for sometime from what I understand. There is a lot of news coming out, but a top GXP model could be a 2dr hard top covertable, AWD, 270-290hp 3v headed 3.9 VVT engine. Man, thats a mouthful eh?

anyway, was that a coupe or a sedan? I wana see the coupe! Coupe doesnt come out till later.
