Thumbs up Saw an '04 Grand Prix last night.

I was over in 'The States' (Buffalo) and while in a mall parking lot I see this car parked in a handicap section. It's black and I'm seeing it from behind and I'm thinking to myself, "What kind of car is that?"

For some reason, I thought it may have been a 4 door Honda Accord and even Mercedes crossed my mind and by then I was close enough to see GTP.

I was very impressed. Looks much better in person. The only thing I wasn't nuts about was the look of the nose, when you look at the car from the rear corner. The nose has a slight Aztek look to me.

Anyone else notice this?

It's time to leave work now, so I'll check back in later.....

I like the looks of it from the outside... but the interior styling = IMO

We'll still have to wait 3-4 years to see if these cars have more than just the upgraded "perceived" quality that everyone keeps talking about.

I've seen one on the road so far, and a few at the Cleveland Auto Show, where I sat in a GTP.

I am not 'blown away' by the styling, I thought the 97 made a much bigger 'first impression' with me anyway.

But, the seats are some of the most comfortable seats I've sat in in a car... at least for a short period of time (Obviosuly didnt take it on a long distance trip... ).

I was just at my Pontiac dealer and they had a couple of them. There was a sweet black one. Being a TA owner it surprised me how much I loved the styling and absolutely loved the interior. IMO 110% better than the 03. The non-hood scoop GTO is going to fit nicely into Pontiacs line-up. I know I'm the minority here, but I am a little dissapointed to see SLP offering the hood scoop/whatever package to the GTO. I think it is perfect the way it is. I saw it in person in Detroit and you have to appreciate the BMW type styling. I'm not too crazy about tacky add-ons. Sorry for getting off-topic.

I never thought to take a close look at the interior until well after I left the mall. Oh well, it won't be long until I start seeing them around.

That precisely describes my feeling of the car when I 1st checked it out at the LA show last January. The interior quality is top notch for a GM car, and the seats were very good. However, while the styling was by no means ugly, it lacked the "wow" factor the last Grand Prix had when it 1st came out.

Egh, they are alright.

My neighbor who works for GM has been driving once since December of last year.

While I agree with you, many of the reviews pointed out that the previous GP's were a bit over done. Apparently enough people agreed with them.

I have only seen one, and that is at the dealership here in town. Actually, I just looked at it the other night. The exterior isn't bad at all, IMO. But to me it doesn't look as muscular as the previous design. Since it was dark I couldn't tell much about the interior, but it appeared to be ok. I'll have to see in the day light sometime I suppose.

I have 3 on the lot, silver, polo green and black. Lemme tell ya...the black and the green are flat gorgeous. I was planning on stuffing away $$ to buy a project third gen...now I feel like throwing the Grand Am on the lot and ordering a new GP GT! Problem is, I NEED the big rebates to buy one...and they aren't available...yet
