Yeah. I remember this past autoshow. While looking at the 05 mustang (v6 only), 2 couples walked up, and one of the girls tells her BF he can go look at the Ford GT which he seemed to have a hardon for (which guy doesn't??) and that she'd rather look at the 05 mustang instead. As the guys runs off towards the Ford GT, her friend looking at the Mustang tell her "This thing is fawken hot!". They thought the new Mustang was hotter than the Ford GT!! (women ) Overall, it drew a nice diverse crowd even though it was only the v6.

So while many think the aggressive/chissled front end will deter female buyers, the only indications i've seen point to them liking them. I don't think the styling will be a turn-off to the female buyers. Sales will tell i guess.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm trying to figure out when it became the rule that if women buy or like a certain car............ that it sucks.......... or that it is a "girls car." (whatever that is)

In todays marketplace, for a vehicle to be truly successful, it has to appeal to a large portion of the market. As much as guys may not like it, this includes women. I mean, who cares why they buy it........... right??? As long as they do buy it.

The sad but true fact is, the majority of vehicular purchase decisions are made by women. The other sad but true fact is that enthusiasts, as a whole, comprise a very small percentage of the car buying public.

Remember that most V6 Camaro sales were to "girls" also.

What's funny to me is that months ago after finally seeing what the 2005 Mustang would look like, several people on this forum swore up and down that this car would NOT appeal to women because it was too aggressive looking or it was too "retro". I refuted those claims for awhile, but finally gave up since they were convinced women would hate this car no matter what I said. Time for you (and you know who you are) to eat crow...
