Quad coupe on the Monte Carlo might be a nifty idea. It's common to see people in the back seats of Monte's...and it would make it much niceer to get in/out of hte back seat with quad coupe and i don't thnk it would look all that bad on a monte either. Camaro/GTO though? No way.

The 'Holy Machine' has been defiled already! We can't walk into our local Chevy dealer and buy a new one because they don't make them any more. Why don't they maker them anymore? Well, part of that rides on us for not buying enough of them and part of that rests on GM for not marketing them agressively.
I think that an earlier post has it right with judge it by what's under the hood, or better yet, what's under the skin. I know people are bent around here because the Charger was defiled, but go test drive one (with a Hemi) and tell me it's not a fun car to drive. I'm sure that if the Camaro comes back as a two door or a quad-coupe, it'll have *****, handle well and hopefully be a decent looking car. Most of the new cars from GM have been looking better (C6, Cobalt, Impala, Solstice) and ones that are confirmed and we know are coming (Sky, Aura, etc.), look the same.
Re: Quad-Coupe GTO/Camaro
Camaros also came with sixes. So how can anyone say its what's under the hood that makes a Camaro?
GTO was all about the motor, so I guess someone could make that claim. However neither should be a 4-door.
As I said before Pontiac LeMans or Pontiac GrandPrix quad coupe, ok. Chevrolet Chevelle or Chevrolet Belair quad coupe, ok.

I said it before, but if they came out with something that looked like the SS concept from a few years back, four doors or not, I'm sure the thing would sell. All it needs, in my opinion, is a nice motor and some good handling and I'd be happy. As far as heritage goes, I can take it or leave it. What did the 3rd or fourth gens have in common with the 60's cars? Not much. For gods sake, I drove around in a hatchback Camaro for how many years? I mean really, you'd learn to like the extra doors if it came out with them, wouldn't you?
PS: JG95Z28, I just read your sig and noticed you have a Mustang. Are you really qualified to be making demands on what the new Camaro should have anyway? I mean, you bought a Ford!

I do like the Camaros though...

I voted, "No Quad Doors",...NOT based on looks, in fact if done right it wouldn't affect the appearance, BUT my big concern is structural ridgidity.
I mean, we already had to put frame ties, strut braces and some even roll-cages to take the twist out of the body...a "Quad-coupe" seems doomed for flex and twist...but then again I'm no chassis engineer.

I'd be all for it.
