Production info on Grand Prix!!!!!!
This is gonna be one sweet car. Only thing I don't like from reading this clip is that the GTP is only 250 HP. What happened to the 280 HP x 280 lb/ft torque??? Maybe they will have the GT, GTP and then the G-Force???? The G-Force might not be introduced until 2005, bummer. In any case the production version looks really nice, and thank god they dropped the SE model, always an ugly car. Enjoy:

From Automotive News
Pontiac on Thursday unveiled the ninth generation of its Grand Prix for the 2004 model year at the Texas State Fair in Dallas. Pricing has not been released.
The automaker has eliminated the base model SE for 2004, and instead will offer a 200-hp V6-powered GT, and a 250-hp GTP and GTP with a competition group package.
The competition package includes 17-inch wheels, tuned suspension and Stabilitrak Plus, which helps keep the car stable in high-speed maneuvers and harsh conditions, and TAPshift (TAP stands for Touch Activated Power), which can switch the car from automatic transmission to manual with a Formula One-style paddle lever on the steering wheel.
Twin-styled dual exhaust outlets will be standard on all models, as well as larger 16-inch and 17-inch wheels and tires. The car is the same size as the model it replaces.
Inside, the cockpit will include larger analog gauges, and radio and air conditioning controls are now flush with the dash.

Wow, I’m really excited about this car! Too bad about the HP.
Maybe it will be underrated. But yeah the styling defiantly went in the right direction. The F1 shifting is sweet too, I think ill be off to test drive one these.

Will Pontiac please stop using that ugly a$$ twisted star design for their wheels . That car needs similar type wheels that the G-force car had had . At best those wheels look like chrome hub caps you can buy at autozone . Almost there yet again . How friking long is GM gonna milk the weak transmission statement . This was a known weak point in 97 .......now come a 2004 model and I'm still hearing transmission durability would be an issue with 280/280 hp-lbs/ft. I would have though by now they would have had a transmission to take the higher hp/torque rated front drivers .
Not too shabby. I like that they are keeping the fender flares this time instead of teasing us like they did with the 300GPX concept. And as any current GTP owner knows, 280 hp is just a pulley change away.
