If GM produces a new RWD V8 coupe, what should they call it?
Think of something of other then Monte Carlo or Chevelle, and NO "Camaro or nothing" posts too.
If GM doesnt go with a classic name I suggest they use "SSC" (for Super Sport Coupe). This way no one will be pissed-off for bastardizing a classic name and "SSC" is about as non-offensive as a name as one could get when treading on sacred V8 RWD coupe territory.

I don't like the idea of getting into this alpha / numeric / alphanumeric nomenclature. Just call it with a new name, but a complete word.

I agree no alphanumeric names
Camaro sounds the best

I usually prefer a real name over numerals or numbers but in this case where emotions are running high I think its safer for GM to go with "SSC".
That way some could convince themselves that "SSC" really stands "Super Sport Camaro" and others could think it really means "Super Sport Chevelle" and those who dont care about either of those cars will just think its a non-offensive "Super Sport Coupe".

If it is going to be the sister car to the Pontiac GTO, then it should be called Chevelle.
