Kinda. But that add-on cluster looks just like that; an add-on cluster. Too clunky looking. The other 2 gauges should be incorporated in the main cluster.

And get a good look at the radio in the American version of the GTO. The volume **** appears to be on the passenger side. I hope that was an oversight on the designers' part while getting the show car ready. The American version should have the volume **** on the left side, closer to the driver.

And about the legroom. Somebody on www.newageGTO.com posted the interior specs from the Monaro next to the Firebird. The cars are pretty close except for two major differences. The Firebird has way more headroom in the rear than the Monaro (probably due to on-the-floor-seating) and the Monaro has way more rear legroom. I'll see if I can find the link.

This is australian spec, but should be much the same.
yea, it looks like there is more room in that picture, but it also kinda looks like the front seats are pushed forward pretty far. I wanna see what kinda of legroom you have with the front seats push back a good amount, because if you have to have your knees hitting the steering wheel in order to get legroom for the backseat then what the hey!

Talking

Well, sure has been busy since I was away. Judging by this thread, I now feel I can gloat over what I've been saying since I saw & drove Monaro last summer.

Every time someone said something about the way it looked, I said you gotta see it in person, it has a muscularity that doesn't photograph well. Everytime someone slammed it, I said at least wait till you see it, and then make a judgement on it. Now the only thing left is for you all to get behind the wheel, and drive one of these things. The CV6 I briefly drove seemed better then the Commodore I drove a few years ago, and it was near amazing.

Seems quite a few people have changed their mind here. Since I hardly ever gloat, here goes:

SEE! I TOLD YOU SO!!!

(now going back to anti-gloat mode)

Thats a good point, I agree. The picture does look like the front seats are too far forward. All I can say is, the legroom is on par with most large 4 door sedans (well, large by aussie standards).

The comment someone made about the headroom makes sense, it's probably worse than the 4 door variant.

Volume controls are on the steering wheel anyway

True, but the volume **** needs to be on the driver side.

All the radio buttons and panels are perfect mirror images of each other, i.e. easily swappable, EXCEPT that bottom part, where you see 1-2-3-4-5-6-Volume. Basically they saved the time of molding a one-off piece and decided to instead throw something together in time for a car show.

Looking at the arrowhead on the steering wheel in the super-high-resolution pic, it's clearly painted by hand. And slightly messy

This kind of stuff would only be found on the prototypes. The final product will be properly redesigned.

handbrake lever needs to be switched over, too.

Not really. It's not a control that you'll always be looking for and certainly (hopefully) not while you're driving.
Besides, our F-bodies have the e-brake lever offset to the right.

As far as dual outlet exhaust go's, think the aftermarket will offer a dual outlet with one outlet on each side, exiting the rear like a 4th gen FBody or 94-96 Impala SS? I hope so, that would help it's looks from the rear a lot. I don't know if anything under the car like the gas tank would be in the way though.

That spoiler would remind me a lot of a 69 Judge spoiler if it had two pillars in the middle and was a little flatter. How wide are the stock tires, anyone know? It will look great if it has a set of 275s on the rear, or if 315s are possible

I am really really hoping that Pontiac wll offer it themselves..

the only way you could get it aftermarket is to get a whole new rear bumper cover as well, since the current bumper covers have indentations for the outlets.. just think how bit a P.I.T.A. that would be to have to pay for a whole new bumper just for dual exhaust ! That is why Pontiac should offer it from the get-go. Whether or not they do remains to be seen.

Damn, I didn't know that, some of those pics from behind are too dark to see the details of the rear bumper and exhaust. They'd better offer it! I can't see why they cannot do what they did for the 4th gen T/A's rear bumper, how they have the notches for it, and the V6's with the single exhaust have the pipe on the drivers side. You should be able to chose split dual pipes or both together on the drivers side. We might have to get the sawzall out

This is an interesting message I found at ls1.com.au :

"ON THE NEWS in melb it said that they had 13 000 orders.... gm in california or something bought all of them
thats only 1 state"

followed by the equivalent of our on this board, except the eyeballs are huge and totally out of their sockets. "melb" is for Melbourne and they are talking about the GTO.

Is there any truth to it?
