Official GTO pics.... hi res
I think those pics are very, very cool!
I can see some of the GTO's detractors' points about no scoops, no hood mounted tach, no cues from the '64 or '69 (or you pick the GOAT year).
But....I'd bet that once people start seeing them in the flesh....and running around on street, all those arguments will quickly evaporate.
From where I see things, it certainly is no Camaro replacement, but it is an appropriate GTO!

SINGLE EXHAUST! I thought we were getting dual over here?? Or at least "dual" in the f-body sense.
What's it say on the passenger side of the trunk?
Overall pleased, can't wait to see it in person. I think the detractors will have their worries addressed for the 2005 model--likely hoodscoops, etc (hopefully better wheels) to accompany LS6.

It looks better in those pictures but it still needs some things that make a GTO a GTO. You would think they would've changed the back some or the taillights and not JUST the front bumper and some emblems. This is a real rushed, re-emblemed car alright. I don't like the steering wheel or guages either. It is still cool to see the name GTO on something new though, I just wish it was different. That design in the "GTO 5.7 Liter" emblem should be taken away.
I hope the 05 model has some or all of the desired improvements, they'll definetly have the time to do them. Still looks to GA/GP.

as for the exhaust , they are true duals exiting on one side, BUT !!! i think by the time the final car is for sale it will have duals on each side...
remember its a big job moving the fuel tank and re engineering and exhaust to exit on both sides...

Wow, cant wait to see it on the street!
