This is a performance car and therefore should have a full compliment of gauges. Get on this immediately Pontiac!!

I believe this information is available through the Driver Information Center display located under the analog guages...

Not to flame or anything, but to me this car just looks like a bigger version of a sports compact car...

That's what I think. I'm surprised that so many people like the car's looks. Perhaps it's because those pictures are designed to make it look good.

From far away, with your eyes squinted, I could kind of see a bit of the Acura Integra profile in it...

I love it, I can't wait until this thing hits the streets, and I hope it will be a bonfide sucess!!! I wish I could afford to buy one, but that won't be for a while since I am an 18 year old young whippersnapper

Oh well, hopefully used GTO prices will be kind to me

Thumbs up

I'm still kind of shocked that they are finally bringing the Monaro here. I remember reading about it 6 or so years ago in Motor Trend and thinking the same thing they were, "Why don't they bring it here?"

Now they have.

I don't really think of it as a GTO. For some reason I'll always think of it as Holden, or Monaro, or that car that GM makes in Australia.

I'm hoping that the biggest ripple effect will be that it motivates GM to step up quality in the rest of their interiors. If this car does only that, it'll be a success to me.

It's nice, better than a lot of other cars coming out. It just doesn't have that WOW that is awesome look but I do like it and as long as the price tag is good it will sell.

Do you think they'll include anything honoring the 40th anniversary? I didn't notice any badges, etc.

As noted, the "5.7" is on right side of trunk, but what do they have planned for the LS6? Maybe "6.0" will make its way back there.

Well give it some time. We've now gotten a detailed look at the exterior and even the interior. But once you can actually sit inside the driver's seat, see the car's characteristics and realize "yes, that is an LS1 rumble being controlled by my foot right now, from under the hood of this unassuming car", and then get cozy with the PMD Arrowheads and GTO badges all over, I think only then will it hit you as a true Pontiac, and not a Holden. It used to be all the pride among F-body people would lead to endless Chevy VS Pontiac debates; now it'll be Pontiac VS Holden, and I'm sure with time, each brand will build distinction and nobody will confuse the two.

LS6 is still a 346c.i.d.; still a 5.7 liter engine.

If we ever see the HRT427 equivalent on this side of the Pacific, that'll be a nice round "7.0" emblem Bob Lutz's statement that production car performance has potential to reach "somewhere south of 700HP" is a really encouraging sign, long term anyway.
