This is not a drill...or photoshop. Regal GS.
Well, about the only thing on this car that relays Buick to me, is the waterfall grille and the emblems.
Remove those, and I could well be looking at a Nissan, or Hyundai, or Toyota...
Don't get me wrong, it looks good...but I'm trying to see some American in it...but it's obviously Asian.
The wheels look like gimmicky aftermarket pieces, but I Like the seats, layout, steering wheel, turbo v6!, stick shift, awd.
If the weight is in Taurus range...omg.
I'm a Buick guy, but "this" GS not my cup of tea.

What do you think of the LaCrosse? That is the Buick that is more in tune with the Chinese Buicks (its interior was designed by Buick in China).
Maybe the turbo ecotec could use a displacement increase? The naturally aspirated version is a 2.4L (20% larger.) If that displacement was used as the starting point for a boosted model, then it could get increased torque output while using less boost.
Though it would be really awesome if GM were to make an ecotec based V8 to replace the Northstar.

I hate to say it but the Lacrosse has many more Buick ques and stands distinctly different than the GS above. It relates to the CTS, Camaro etc with it's use of many angles, subtle and not so subtle and I love the wide flare rear. The wheels are definitely Buick, and I'd rather see something evolve from those on a GS.
Surprised nobody posted this...

I know, not the GS, but still interesting. I personally think that's a bit overpriced, though it's hard to know for sure without sampling the actual car.
2011 Buick Regal will start at $26,995
The $26,995 starting price includes the base 2.4-liter Ecotec four-cylinder engine producing 182 horsepower and a six-speed automatic. Opting for the more powerful turbocharged and direct-injected 2.0-liter Ecotec four-cylinder producing 220 hp raises the starting price to $29,495.

I was about to post that.
By the pics, I'd guess the CXL will be similar in trim to the 2LT malibu and the turbo Regal to the LTZ Malibu.
So a decked out LTZ Malibu for $26,995 or a likely better equipped, nicer interior, more powerful CXL Regan for $2500 more. Honestly, probably not that bad...

Malibu is starting to look dated.
I thought that about the malibu , until I just spent a full week in 2009 LT/2.4-A6 last week . Nice a$$ car , I liked it way more than I figured and its a nicer car than I gave it credit for . The interior was , imo ...much nicer than my pop's 2007 Aura XE .

I like it. With aero so important the little styling cues are the only way to individualize a car. Would make a great driver.
I liked the leather/ultrasuede better in the Malibu .
