Take a close look at the wheel well on the 2nd picture and notice how the alignment of the fascia and fender is off. I have seen a few Malibu's on dealer lots that have this issue on the rear wheel well occasionally.

Wow they actually did the right thing! I'd rather have the Opel's Turbo V6 as that would not only be more fun but a bit of Regal nostalga.

Now why do we have to wait a full year for this car??

I'm very surprised at just how much I like this car. The Buick version looks better than the Opel imo. I'd like to see some performance #s and see what GM intends to price it at, but this car may have a spot on the list to replace the TL when the time comes in a couple years... A Buick! I can't believe it.

Very nice looking sedan. Will it be getting the DI 3.6L or turbo 2.8?

What size engine would this V6 Turbo be?

Is that the 2.8L?

I want my next car to be a stick. If this thing has AWD like I'd heard and a 6-speed, I would seriously consider it.

Everything looks good except the seats. I can't quite place it, but to me, it appears if they don't match the rest of the interior styling wise. I would even go so far as to say, that the seats actually cheapen the interior the car.

From http://www.motorauthority.com/blog/1...gal-gs-concept

"What a lot of readers may not know is that in Europe, the Insignia is offered in several different variants, including one that’s available with a 325-horsepower turbocharged V-6, a manual transmission and an adaptive all-wheel drive system. This high performance Insignia is the OPC (Opel Performance Center) model and at next week’s 2010 Detroit Auto Show an American-spec version will be previewed in the form of the Buick Regal GS concept car.

The Detroit show car won’t be quite as extreme as its European cousin, instead featuring only a 255-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine but with the same 6-speed manual and all-wheel drive system.

The 2.0-liter engine is the same unit that will be offered in the Regal CXL later this summer, but the engine and turbocharger are tuned to deliver greater boost pressure in the GS. The output is estimated at 255-horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Drive is sent to all four wheels via an adaptive all-wheel drive system equipped with an electronic limited-slip rear differential

Wait, so it is the turbo 2.0L, just tuned to a higher output? Or is it the ~300 hp twin turbo V6?

The photo above (which seems to be from Autoblog's gallery) shows a V6...

But in the text, they claim that GM is "sticking with the 4-cylinder only strategy for the Regal."

2.0 liter 255hp turbo 4 cyl engine sounds like the LNF to me. Same engine as in the Cobalt SS since it looks like the engine is transversely mounted.

Apparently we are getting the boosted 4 - 255hp/295tq rating - and not the turbo 2.8l 6. Having to wait a year plus for the GS sucks. They are blaming exchange rates - Euro/USD for the delay and therefore supposedly no 6's for the Regal, until production moves to North America. I'm curious as to what the pricing will be for the 4cyl GS. It is a good looking car for sure, they didn't water down the OPC kit at all, just the engine, but oh well, it still looks pretty compelling. I too wonder if the turbo 4 is the LNF engine, or a derivative of it.
