I bet ya it was an injuneer from Pontiac in late 1990's deciding to apply Pontiac's amazing, results-driven BODY CLADDING formula to this third gen.

Saw a Z38 at Back to the Fifties in Minneapolis last weekend.
A 38 Chevy 2 door sedan running on a Camaro front clip and rearl axle, powered by a Chevy 350.
I had dreams of doing one of those 25 years ago ... I had a '78 Z28 and my uncle had 2 -38 Chevy's in the bush on his farm. One day, before I had to room or resources, someone came by and bought all the cars he had in the bush and hauled them away
