There's a rear and side shot too i believe. It looked good from all sides imo.

I don't like it at all. it has a very cheap feel to it. I don't know how else to put it. Then again, to me the best looking GTOs were the Tempest ones, pre-1970s before they became garish caricatures.

 

THOSE are GTO's! I think the Dream Cruise GTO, with some styling elements of the '99 GTO would make a KILLER succesor to the current one.
The first one posted is FUGLY IMO.

I like it.

Im a big fan of the current GTO, but that sketch shows a much bolder and aggressive design. Not to mention the front end GTO styling cues. If this car had come out in 2004, I dont think we would've seen all the old school GTO guys calling for GM's head....

I wish they would have made the GTO look like that. It could somewhat continue with the evil looks that began with the LS1 WS6.

 

While the 99 concept is cool in it's own way, I've always found it to be too cartoonish and over-the-top to be a production car... it's very Batmobile-ish to me...

To be honest, I think it'd be hard to pull much of that styling into a legitimate production car... maybe the very basics of the front end styling, but I think that was accomplished in a way on the yellow MT drawing...

 

I love this design. This is Pontiac. This is the sort of visual excitement and uniqueness that the old Pontiacs have, the kind of sportiness that no amount of cladding, fake hood scoops or boy racer spoilers have been able to capture. It's infused with a retro feel without taking any old design cues - very much like the 300C in that respect.

BTW, I don't know if anyone mentioned this, but MT said that the design is being done by the same guy who did the Monaro.
