I sure don't like the lamps in the grill...........the pics of the V6 version look better from the front.

Over all I like it........

Sorry guys, I still dont get it. I really don't see this Mustang having the broad visual appeal that the last one had. It will appeal to the few hardcore fans but I think it will turn off the general public. I don't remember the mustang that this is copying so it has no nostalgic appeal to me. I think the last one looked much better.

You apparently haven't been to a car show that had a 2005 Mustang. When you get the chance go. See which car has the biggest crowd and ask the people around it why the crowd is around the Mustang.

FWIW:

At the Cleveland auto show, this year, Mustang had a good crowd... it was most definately smaller than Corvette though, and Mustang was right at the entrance... Corvette was half way back.

Last year, when the concept Mustang was there, there was surprisingly few people at the display.

Of course, this can vary by the times I was there compared to the times I was not...

Yeah, the Vette was one of the other crowd cars. While it varies at times, the Mustang has been the biggest crowd car this year.

In St Louis, it had an average crowd. People weren't swooning over it by any means. The GT40 had some interest though

The interior is horrible. The exterior is starting to grow on me a little, I think.

I love the new sig mark.

Man, at the Kansas City Auto Show last weekend (I went on Sat.) It took me like 10 minutes to get close enough to even look at the Mustang (it was the green sixer). I think it's a great looking car in real life - much better than the pictures, IMO. We didn't have a C6, so can't really compare, but as far as everything I saw the American cars that had big crowds around them in order of amount of people around:

1. Ford GT
2. Mustang
3. Equinox
4. Dodge Magnum
5. Malibu Maxx

The Equinox and Maxx were actually out on the floor rather than podiums and there were folks all over those vehicles. Especially the Equinox. I think it's going to be a home run (I know it's been said before by many around here, but I think the show proved it).

Interestingly, though the Magnum stand was pretty surrounded there was no one at the 300 Hemi C at all. The Buick LaCrosse (which I also think is better looking in real life than in pictures) was left to the crickets as was the Ford Five Hundred.

Lol, in the corner collecting dust?

None really gets excited over family cars...especially in a car show setting where there are plenty of other interesting cars to look at.

Isn't this really the ironic part?

I mean, no one gets really excited over the cars that sell the most...

The Five Hundred was actually on a platform just a few feet away from the Mustang, but only a sporadic few stopped to take a look. It's not bad for a mainstream family car, but looks pretty tame when the 427 show car that "inspired" it is only a few feet a way. I'm not sure what they were thinking with the Buick display as the LaCross was on a circular turntable with a wall surrounding half of it. That wall was actually facing the side of the exhibit hall with both entrance escalators come up, so you actually had to walk clean around it to actually see the car - might have faced the CAR to where people could see it - especially when you're positioned almost all the way at the end of the auditorium...
