And you forgot to say they did all that from TWO DIFFERENT ANGLES. I'm pretty sure this thing is real. Some Mexican newpaper already wrote a story about it. I wonder if it has a 5.4L motor

 

Looks a little overdone to me, I could do without most of that crud, but I really like the hood. Looks appropriate to the "era" of the 'Stang's styling. Would like to see that on a production model.

 

BTW, it's supposed to have 440 HP. Detroit Free Press had an article on it.

 

Yup. I think i know why they named it GTR-40. GT-R part is obvious (GT racing), but i think the 40 is supposed to symbolize 40 years of mustang (40th anniv this April). The 440hp part is probably a part of this 40 year thing too. I'm wondering if it's a blown 4.6 or a N/A 5.4 Dohc. Guess we'll see.

Some pics off stangnet. A photchoped and cleaned up version. I'd like to see a bad boy like this on the streets as a Cobra. HOT!!. They talked about making the GT and Cobra look a lot different. Why not use the concept car as the basis for the Cobra? Sure, it'd be more expensive, but it's worth it if they plan on charging something north of 40k for the Cobra (which is possible).
