Thumbs up

I like it. Not perfect, but on the right track. I like the rear end alot, but the B pillar and fenders could stand to look a little more "modern" for my tastes. As others have said, maybe a little more "evolution" there. I see alot of 1st gen that isn't necessary.

Don't like the circular taillights. Kinda tired of it and a Camaro should have wrap arounds. I do like the 1st and Third Gen in the car, but the quarter window is only OK IMO. I'd rather it be solid there. I'd like to see:

-Licence plate not in bumper for smooth look
-Higher spolier (don't forget the third brake light)
-The front of the car on more of a slope
-Sharp wrap around taillights
-No quarter window
-More pronounced quarter panel
-Unintergrated tailpipes
-Antenna moved to front fender

I have to disagree here. A level hood like the mustang has always had says 'muscle car.' Sloped front ends is an import and/or fwd thing IMO...

I would like to see no more slope than what the 4th gens had, preferably less, [sarcasm, yet somewhat truthful]cause at least in the case of the mustang it might mean an engine bay with an extra 1/2" of space to spare here and there. [/sarcasm]

If you want a better idea on how a concept car would look, try drawing it with 18" wheels. An Azwreck looks 10 times better with big wheels. Every concept I see has freakin 22" wheels. Trust me, erase the wheels in put realistic ones in there and then tell me what you think of it.

i like the basic look. kick the cab back some, make hte back glass less sloped, and the front more muscular. that would be a ROCKIN *** car right there

Dont Ditch the round tail lights!!!!!!!!!
If you've noticed Chevy is going for that look right now on their cars. Impy and Cobalt and Corvette. The Camaro had them at one point. They look good!

I also have to say this concept is getting a better response than I've seen around here in a while.

I agree...keep the round tail lights! The front end of that thing looks seriously pissed!

I think he has the headlights of that car done nearly perfect. I *think* I even like the turn signals in the pockets. Don't like the center grill though. A slightly sloped front will make it look tougher and wrap around will fix the back of the car.

I agree those head lights are perfect. They really make that design work for me. You can see the evolution from the 4th gen in them but they look modern.

Hehe, yup! I've thrown together a couple of sketches over the past couple of years and every time I end up with 69 rear quarters... There is a very unpopular blatant retro sketch of a future GTO in a recent Motor Trend (Feb?). If you can, take a look at it's rear quarters. Something along those lines is what I can't seem to translate to paper. To me those pay homage to the original (1st gen, not GTO heh), but at the same time maintain a progressive design.

I really like this front design too.

I actually like the direction that concept is taking, particularly with the front end. I see slight hints of all the generations, but isn't rediculously retro. It obviously needs finishing work, but certainly a step in the right direction.

Try "modern" rectangular(internally divided) tail-lights, (NOT wrap-around), swap for the twin circular ones...NOT crammed into the outer corners, but towards the middle just enough that the "rectangle" would'nt have to "deform" to fit...
And lower the door "just a little" to lessen the "Chop-top" feeling,(but still have room to drop the glass) and it will also allow for more "roll" in the fenders w/o raising the fender height any...
