Re: More on the Employee Pricing results as it winds down...

I'm just bitter that I missed all these rebates, discounts, etc and now the employee pricing stuff, since I bought my new truck right before they really started rolling all these discounts out.. I probably could have gotten it a couple thousand cheaper.. sigh.

Sooo, lesson learned. I'm not buying another new GM, Ford, Chrysler, (or any "normal" brand) vehicle (unless its really a gotta have), unless some sorta sale is going on. But its mentality like this that makes a sale at the price they want that bit harder.

I bought a truck right before the big sale.. in mid may. I ended up lucky - I think.. Bought the truck at a very discounted price..... It was a 12/04 model ~ so I paid even less that what the "employee pricing" was.... In addition, I bought it via the smart buy option ~ since I really want a 3/4 ton diesel.. And will be getting that when I turn my truck in when the buyout opportunity comes. I figure the truck was posted to be worth more than it will now be worth with all the new trucks driving around.

At least.. That's what I tell myself to make me feel better .

well, buickman is relitively correct, about comissions and the deal pissing off dealerships...

although about half of the crew left within the last two months, everyone has been extremely happy because of bonuses, but with comissions on the new cars being so skimpy, most not even 3 figures, its no wonder people like buickman are upset.

I'm unfamiliar with the kick backs the dealer receives on selling vehicles, but the GMS program has made a few things different at the dealership... If you wanted to haggle with the price, the salesperson could easily pick another person to help, and there goes that persons haggling... it also allowed people to accually look at the vehicles without us hawks shinning over their shoulder...
