Monte Carlo SS driving impressions.
Re: Monte Carlo SS driving impressions.
Im also a HUGE fan of the Cobalt supercharged SS. If I had the money, I seriously would be driving one right now, and I never thought I would ever like a compact car again after finally getting a Camaro a few years ago. The SRT-4 is also cool as hell, but I never liked the 4 doors nor the Neon style. But the Cobalt SS looks good and hauls ***.

Kinda thinking this just might be a pretty fun work car . If the GP and Impala both went 14.3 , I dont see how the Monte could not be a legit 13 sec ride with its saved weight .

Charlie,
Thanks for the link!! Looks like they really liked it. The Quiet Steel answers the original question Z28x and I had, which was why is this car quieter than a '97-'03 GP? He had a '99, and said the new MC LTZ he had as a rental was way quieter!
Awesome
The more I read about it, and after seeing it...the more I want the damn thing!

Re: Monte Carlo SS driving impressions.
I love/hate the new MC SS
It has good performance, great engine, nice comforts not available in the GTO like Heated seats, sun roof/ XM & remote start... But I seem to prefer the RWD for daily driving, I like "pushing" the car through a ramp and the MC from the side or rear looks very bulky, the sides look very flat (nothing like the sleek looks of the Camaro)
I'd consider it for a next car choice though.
