I personally think the SRT-4 is marketed towards people who have owned riced-out forced induction 4 cylinders. People who tune 1.8T VWs,WRXs,EVOs,DSMs, and turbo Hondas are going to buy this car. It can run 13.9 stock and with Mopar's Stage 1-3 upgrades it can get into the 12s easily.

Cobalt SS tries to borrow from the SRT-4 (useless big rear wing, FWD, forced induction) I think Chevrolet did a better job with this car, after all it is the replacement for the Cavalier. They are much nicer than the Cavy and the SS model will bring in people who want a Cobalt but are looking for something more fun and not boring.

In the end, make the Neon a 2 door, change the front end and I'm sold on that, but for now I'd buy the Cobalt

The plastics are on par with a Cavalier/Cobalt. What makes you think they're not?
From what I have seen, the Neon..**cough** I mean SRT4 has cheap interior materials compared to the cobalt... And I said this about a GM car?

Yep

You're confusing GMPP with GMPD I believe.

Edit - found the link. GM Performance Parts had a project 1992 Camaro RS.

I've been pretty big in saying the SRT-4 is a better performance value than the Cobalt, however, on the interior note, I am certain Cobalt will do better if the interior is even a small step above Cavalier. I test drove an SRT-4 and I was amazed at how cheap it felt inside. Outside it looks like it's price, inside it looks and feels like a $12,000 car. It's quick, sure, but when I got back into my Scion of all cars it felt like I was living in luxury compared to the SRT-4. So it may be quicker, but the interior on that thing is attrocious.

The SRT-4 is being sold as fast as it can be produced. It is selling FAR more than even dodge anticipated.
Could you please send some of those people over to me so that I can move these SRT-4s that are sitting on my lot. Thanks.

Your comment about the interiors is insane. Even the most basic model Cobalt has an interior multiple steps above the Neon.

I know, I sell both.
