14.5's for a LT1??

For a stock (other than SLP cai) A4 Z28 with 2.73's and reaction times of .504 and .535, is 14.5's/97mph excellent, good, bad or sucks??

Thanks!!

I've heard high 13s on stock... are you power braking when you launch?

What is your altitude? Here in Calgary, we are at 3500+ feet, but our air is bad, sometimes barometer reads 4000 feet+. Stock LT1s run in the mid-high 14s.

all that i know in this area that were stock ran close to 14 flat. mine is in the sig. seems high though, try checking plugs and wires, and you may have a sensor going bad. also, 94 octane gasis cheap here, like 1.95/gal.

I would do some more mods, now you have a Dodge Neon out there that stock, can take you. Get some real power mods like headers and exhaust, then a TC and a shift kit. Have fun in 12's after this.

wow, now I've heard it all. The day when someone can say that $1.95/gal for 94 octane is cheap is a day we should all remember.

hahaa he must have watched the same Car & Driver as I did. A stock SRT-4 Neon runs low 14s from factory. How insulting is it that we have the best V8 engine ever built and now you throw a turbo on a neon and it can beat us stock. Mopar, jealous *****s!

well, usually the sonoco extreme gas is like 2.25, this is not the regular supreme gas that is 92 or 93 octane. its almost race gas.

yeah thats true...but in any case gas prices are ridiculous, that was more/less my point. They have 100 octane, just north of me in Pennsylvania for like 4.95/gal. I tried it in my v6 and it seemed to idle a little smoother. I haven't subjected the LT1 to it yet, do you think it'd be worth it?

Hmmm...by-the-way, sorry for going off topic.

What was your 60ft time? Must have been bad.
I ran completely stock about 2.5 years ago and did
14.3 with a 2.4 60ft while fish tailing.....

Mmmmmm.....maybe this will help the experts!!

1/4 14.510 / R/T .504 / 60' 2.171 / 97.71MPH
1/4 14.544 / R/T .534 / 60' 2.191 / 97.64MPH

Both runs @ 90+ degree ambient temp, 180/200 degree engine temp, sea level with 1/4 tank of 93 octane street gas plus 1 gal of Sunoco 110. Shifted "manually" at redline, +/- 1000 rev brake launches.

Mods are; SLP sfc's, Lakewood LCA's, SLP CAI, MSD 6A and coil and a BM shift improver other than these the car is stock to the 2.73 and muffler, car has 99K miles, no misses or tuning probs.

Thanks to all!!
