Link to SS news

There was a story awhile back on Chevy tightening up the usage of the SS name plate. Anyone have a link?

As a side question---as long as its fast---anyone have a problem with a 4cly SS? Like a F/I Cobalt or HHR?

Chevrolet should run all their marketing ideas relating to performance cars past us first, as we're alway, ultimately, correct! lol

When word of all the SS models coming out first hit here, there was a lot of b*tching about n/a 4 door Coblats, and Equinox's getting SS'd, so I'm glad they're pulling up on the reins a bit on that. I personally have no issue w/ the number of cyl's used, as long as it's a legitimate performer in it's category. The Impala, s/c Coblalt, Trailblazer, Monte seem to fit this bill. The Malibu, Equinox, Silverado, and 4 door n/a Cobalt do not. Buh bye. If they want to have a "sport" version of these, fine, but not SUPER sport, IMO.

I agree, its good to see that they want to tighten up the usage of the nameplate a bit as I think most can agree that it was getting a little excessive in what they were plastering the SS badge on.

There was some discussion on how certain models would get a "Sport" performance package, while others would retain the "SS" distinction.
