just the whole image that's put upon you for buying a saturn
the image has gotten better but you're still looked at awkwardly (atleast around here) for driving a saturn

and the other thing about the malibu sketch, the front fender flare also protrudes farther down the body

Simple fix if you are embarrased to drive a Saturn...debage the sucker the day you get it.

I don't think Saturn has the same stigma now that it carried in years past. I see a bunch of IONs and Vues on the road even amongst the young "hip" crowd.

Ditto! Get some Opel badges from Europe and glue them onto the Saturn.

I thought about that. but then I thought, do I really want a car that I'm ashamed that people know the name of?

I agree with the debadging part, but only if you're really embarassed. I'm used to people hassling me about my car (usually it's out of ignorance and mis-information), and it doesn't bother me.

I drive my car because of how it handles, how it accelerates, and how much freaking fun it is etc. and not because of what anyone else thinks about it.
