Hummer should have never been marketed alone in my opinion. it was always 2 wheels in the grave without a Wrangler sized vehicle. It should have been GMC from the beginning...or better yet Caddy..... I think the line would have complimented Escalade Sales in a huge way...

I always thought that Hummer would be a neat premium offering in Chevy dealerships. The H2 would be a premium upgrade to the Tahoe and Suburban, and the H3 would be a premium Trailblazer/Traverse sized car. In a GMC dealership the price point is too high. Then again, I am willing to bet GM kept the dealerships seperate to make them easier to kill.

On thing to think about is the H2 is still based on the GMT800 platform, and the H3 is a GMT355 vehicle. Both vehicles have no been updated since being on the maket...so the current sales results have to be expected.

Thats not true. The H2 received a new interior a year or 2 ago and the H3 got the Alpha trim (V8) a year after introduction. Also the H2t and H3t models were added after a few years.

Kinda hard to repurpose them into a new brand with the big "H" on the front.
GM should buy this back and put its Hydrogen cars on display here.
