Hummer to be killed...
She isn't dead yet! There's hope!

Mind you, I dont know if it'll mean selling a brand to a shady company or one that could give it life.... but there's hope of something.
If they do go under, I'd actually be really interested in picking up an H3 once the values plummet now that the frame on my Bravada is falling apart. Those things were much nicer than their chassis-mates, and in my mind it's the closest *real* incarnation of the S10 Blazer of the 80s/90s.

Hold the phones! Two previous suitors for Hummer have stepped up in the wake of China's failure to secure a deal and, of course, us running our ****** Hummer eulogy. Talk about back-room Saab-like B.S

Rip
I’m not surprised by this at all but I am disappointed.
I loved the Hummer, especially the REAL Hummer (H1) – to me, Hummer represented success and excess and everything that drives the tree-hugging socialists absolutely crazy (and in my opinion, that reason alone makes me wish the brand would continue).
Alas, it’s not to be and one more Icon of American motoring passes into history.
RIP.

Check my posts in late December........this deal was supposed to die before the NAIAS...then it got bumped past the Chicago Auto Show.
The deal never was going to happen...but what do I know.

Only model I'll sort of miss from Hummer is the H3T Alpha. It wasn't perfect, but IMO a good step in the right direction. A next gen platform with a 6.2L V8 and 6 speed auto and incrementally stronger diffs, axles, suspension would have been awesome.
Well you were wrong about Saab and I think you are going to be wrong about the XTS not being on Super Epsilon. I'm not keeping score, but it is not hard to be 50/50 on these major predictions.
That actually could happen. Styling wise, its not that far off from GMC's current trend. Pop a different grille on there and an updated interior when the Colorado gets an update in 2012. The driveline and suspension parts are already all tooled and taken care of, paid for and ready to go.
Personally, I'm a fan of the V6/M5 combination.

However, given GM's relatively tight budget, low sales of the Colorado/Canyon/H3T, and the current focus on cars, crossovers, and the full size BOF replacements, IMO it doesn't look likely the Colorado/Canyon/H3 is coming back anytime soon.
