True, but how many people would put down the big bucks on a new sport car with no history or heritage??? Gotta understand, history and mystique are the two biggest marketing tools when it comes to exotic.

Someone asked in another thread...would Chryslers new 5.7 be so popular without the Hemi badging/designation?? I don’t think so. The simple word “Hemi” has people laying hundreds on the table. Same rule applies here. How many people would put down 6 figures on just any Ford?? Not many, but on a Ford “GT/GT40”??? Now we’re talking. People recognize this car, and its place in supercar/automotive history. Ford is just banking on this recognition. Can’t blame them for playing it safe.
