GT-R Articles On The Way
Folks, just as a point of reference - and you can do with it what you like, which is probably to ignore it - I've driven the 911 Turbo and the 911 GT2 (basically a Turbo with a few more HP and without the AWD system) back-to-back on a racetrack. While the GT2 indeed felt lighter whenever I was on the throttle or brakes, it also felt like it was going to kill me if I so much as thought about making a mistake. The AWD Turbo was far more composed, and the extra weight wasn't as noticeable as the extra traction.
This idea here of a lighter, RWD GT-R may seem wise, but I'm guessing that Nissan has made the correct design decision for the vast majority of buyers and real-world conditions.

Regarding the GT2, there's only so much Porsche can do to hide the fact that the engine is sticking out behind the rear wheels.
