thank you guys for posting these responses..this is what I am feeling and I guess we as GM loyalist..F Body loyalist we are looking elsewhere..the hungry dog analogy is a good one..

and yes I type from the heart and not from my head and my grammar sucks..sorry..I just want to get things out..

but please GM..Red PLanet and so forth, the GM upper ranks..let GM know that people that are loyal to GM are looking to find another flag to stand behind...since the GM flag has nothing to offer..hell I am loving my Z28 but when it comes time for a new vehicle..it might be a ford or dodge..sorry..

good responses guys and keep it up..maybee keeping this around for a week in this board with a few pages of responses..we might get something stirred up in the kettle at GM..
just thinking

Semi-kidding.

GM knows who he is (since at least last year), so he can't post anything worthwhile on this site anymore.

Fortunately, there are other people working for GM who post here, and we don't want anyone dropping their names.

That would be very very Bad!

It would be nice if they came out and told us that something was on the way, or dropped solid, real evidence. Anyone notice that this forum has gradually decreased in 5th gen Camaro threads and increased in salivation over other companys' upcoming high performance products?

As it is, I purchased a Mustang because they failed to update Camaro last time around. It's been a great car so far, and I'd buy another without thinking about it. This after owning and having driven several GM cars, including one very fun Z28 M6

Welll...

Might not be Camaros, but...

C6
GTO
Solstice
CTSv

Looks like a nice line-up to me, just need to fill that spot between the GTO and the Solstice.

True...There are options from GM. Camaro though is an affordable option and has some utility to boot. Of the vehicles you posted, here's my perspective on new vehicles....

C6 - Too much money

GTO - Could swing it, but the price point is really pushing it

Solstice - most likely a good second car, but it will never be my only car

CTSV - Also too much money

I have a Camaro becuase it hit the sweet spot. If I'm looking for a new car there's Mustang and GTO, and Mustang costs a heck of a lot less and will have performance comperable to an LS1.

Yeah, if it was that easy, I'd be working for them too....

I've handed my resume to Jack Smith and RP to name a couple, and all I've been able to get is one discouraging email saying GM is in a hiring freeze. Oh well...the squeaky wheel eventually gets the oil, right?

I will say when he spoke at UMass, I was the only one brave/stupid enough to hand Jack a resume

no one in their right mind is gonna post anything official........

you one day will understand why.

Meanwhile, if you can't read between the lines, I'm not gonna read them for you........

meanwhile, while it may appear that everyone at GM has been struck stupid to one or two of you, let me assure you that this isn't the case.....................

There's a lot at stake in this industry................

We plan to be in the business for a longggggggg time.......nuff said.

I used to be diehard Chevy, but really only because of the camaro. I had plans of buying a new Z28 and a cobalt or somethin as a daily driver. But since they gave the camaro the axe they don't get any of my money. It's that simple for me.

They gave me a big "F U" so that's exactly what they get from me.

You all say its coming back and that it's confirmed and all this and that, but it's not. Bottom line is they have said absolutly nothing official to confirm it's coming back. So I stay true to my stance.

F U Chevy, I can't afford a vette so you mean nothing to me.

He has identified himself many times during the years, so no news there.

Regarding the other GM people... Hmmm...

Would it really be that bad to wait for an extra year or two? Most here have speculated that there may be a new Camaro around 2007. Is waiting until 2008 going to kill you? I can see it now, we don't see a Camaro in 2007 so half the members here go buy a new Mustang, then GM pulls a surprise and a 5th gen comes out in 2008 as a 2009 model. Wouldn't that suck?

Yes because I've been going around telling friends it'll be back on 07 and I don't want to look like a retard

I just want something concrete at this point, nothing is worse then wavering.

I need a new car this fall. Not because I want one. Because I *NEED* one.

If I knew something definate was coming down the pipe as a 2006 model I would find a way to get around for another 10 months or so.

I don't expect GM Execs to care about losing one customer and spill the beans. But it would be nice if someone (outside GM)somewhere found some spy shots or something of a test mule like they did of the prototype C5s when they first came out.

I would love a C6 but money is a bit tight and I'll have rug rats soon.

Plus there's something just about owning a Muscle Car like a Camaro.

If not though I'll be buying something along the lines of '04/'05 Cobra.
