GM Memorial Day Sale?
Well, at least if they have the bonus cash going up I can pick up some more accessories for the car. Hopefully the official announcement is soon. If it starts today I might just have to pick it up.
Keeping my fingers crossed on a 0% financing announcement.

... and with that resounding 'thud', I forget about any GM lease or purchase for now...

Same here, although I purchased on Wednesday. I heard all incentives for the Malibu were being pulled, so I went ahead and purchased before the $1,000 loyalty cash expired.
Went car shopping last Friday.....No luck, they had the sticker prices reduced via incentives but that was it......They made it look good with those green arrow signs hagning for the rearview mirror with the reduced price listed, but it wasn't really a deal because all it was, was the cash back incentives........Could not make a deal
Then they wanted to rape me with my trade-in, only $1,500.00 for our Intrigue, yeah I know its 8 years old, but its in excellent shape and loaded with leather, heated seats, sunroof, etc. I told them I had to have $2,500 for my trade-in, which I thought was reasonable, but it was a no go. So there loss, I will buy somewhere else.
What happened to getting a GM car cheaper than sticker price.

GM has actually been working diligently over the last few years to align sticker prices better with transaction prices. While it's a bummer in some ways, it should help resale value in the long run. GM has been setting MSRP closer to what they think the cars will actually sell for rather than an MSRP they know the dealers will have to knock $5k off of to get you to buy.

Any word out there as to what is coming out after the Memorial Day stuff? It ends on June 2nd. I'm seriously close to buying but on the fence as to wait to see if anything better comes out after the Memorial Day sale. The vehicle I am looking at is at $1K off now. New 09s should be starting up soon and they are taking orders. I'm hoping the 08 I am looking at gets a good discount.
