Four door GTO spotted!
Combine this with all those Lumina SS sightings, and I think it's a safe bet we are looking at either cars Holden will be exporting here, or the development mules for the US version of the 2007 VE cars.
I don't know why chevy is making all these SS cars. Why don't they just stop being retarded and just make an actual sports car. That just my opinion though. I know the SS cars sell good, but do we really need a super sporty lumina? I don't think we really needed a SS impala either. But definatly don't need a SS lumina.

Chevy will sell more Lumina SSs than Corvettes as you pointed out, so where's the problem??

GM is a car business, meaning it sells cars and makes money. As long as it does both and has an assortment of fast cars for enthusiasts, I'd say everyone wins.

But i said Chevy not GM in general. And i also said i know it will sell i just don't really see a true purpose for it. If they made a good looking normal lumina it would sell so they don't really have to make a SS. But i know why they are.
It's long been known that they were testing Commodores here. Maybe they put a GTO clip on them now to better make them blend in. Also the next Grand Prix will share a platform with the GTO.

If it will sell, then you already have the true purpose of it my friend.
If I were to buy a sedan, I would want a fast RWD preferably V8 powered one, and Lumina SS is the one I'd pick.
From a sales perspective, sports cars are losers. The volume is never enough to keep a company afloat unless it's priced high enough to make up for it's limited volume. Sports cars also have a short shelf-life, and it tends to have a higher insurence rate than sedans.
Corvette (currently the best selling sports car in the world) strikes the perfect balence, and is doing extremely well. Despite the price, it actually outsold the "affordable" Camaro it's last months in production, making healthy profits, and is outselling pretty much every 2 seater on the planet (save pickup trucks).
On the other hand, sedans (and to a lesser degree, coupes) are the mainstay of sales. They are the cars everyone is going to buy. And those of us who want performance but don't want a sports car, or needs something far more practical are going to want ours fast.
The old Impala SS of the mid 90s has a rabid following, the CTSv has most of us here green with envy. The Lumina SS (if it's called that) with an LS1 derived engine & a 6 speed manual will serve a tremendous purpose, and will have alot of enthusiasts... even at this site.
jg95z28, can you imaging the face of a ricer after smoking him in something like that wagon?
