"Another Product for Chrysler; Yet Unnamed
Chrysler CEO Dieter Zetsche said the company will surprise the market with a tenth vehicle this year, though he was coy about what it is. The company has said nine new products would come out in calendar 2004. Now, says the boss, one more. It will probably be unveiled at the New York Auto Show in April. One possibility, say sources, is a Dodge sedan off the same platform as the Chrysler 300C and Dodge Magnum crossover. Such a vehicle has always been planned, but held back from media and dealer previews. -Jim Burt"
We may be getting a look at the Charger in afew weeks.

The Buick Velite, the Dodge Charger, Cadillac STS, Mustang convertible, some other RWD concept from GM (the latter one is a late word & a new source, so we'll see).
I'll try to gain details.

After rereading that clip I got to thinking. They said that there would be a sporty version coming off the LX chassis, but there will be a sedan. What if it was 2 different cars? Maybe the regular 4dr will be called Charger, maybe not. But, what about a 4dr car that looked like the 4drs used on the SRT-8 concept? It say that a source said that it draws inspiration from the Charger or yor, and last time I checked, that Charger was a 4dr. Creed said that there is no room for a coupe, but doesn't MC make more then a couple? Sounds like they are playing coy to me. Maybe so people don't wait for a coupe and so the get people to start buying the sedan and help boost sales.
Just some thoughts.
Just some thoughts.
I'm happy to see another powerful RWD v8 American (half german but oh well) car come out but I dont think that Charger belongs on a 4 door. Nothing against 4 doors but Charger has always been a two door if I recall. There may have been 4 door versions based off the underpinnings of the Charger back in the day but they still weren't Chargers. Not slamming the car at all, I thought the concept was very sporty back in 99, but still, Charger belongs on a possible future two door LX car. Like Darth said, people gripe about a GTO that looks like any other Pontiac (just like it did back in the day BTW) yet dont care about Charger being placed on a 4 door car. Hmmmmmm, inconsistent thought patterns.
Keep us posted Guion!
