The media guide gives a 7500 rpm (est) redline. Good stuff. Now how about a drag version....

Then, after coming out with their GT500 Z/28, what would they name a Boss competitor??
Let's not forget we could have the Z28 as the trump card... And above that, to annihilate the GT500, the ZL1...

It always makes me laugh how certain people on here run to the 60's Z/28 for their definition. Why do we ignore the 30+ years of boring, mundane, and sometimes really underpowered Z28s?

Has GM even squeaked a word about an ultra-performance Camaro as opposed to the GT500 fighter Z/28?

I also wonder what GM sales volumes have been set for the Z/28? Is it going to be a sub 10k car like the GT500 or are the hopping for much higher sales?

And back on topic a bit, I wonder if Ford went looking for some disgruntled Z/28 fans with the Boss?

Just going by some of the reponses to it on the forums, (here, GMI, Camaro5), it's a sure bet that they'll pick up some GM fans.

Too bad GM isn't offering a car like this.

I think a whole lot will depend on how much the BOSS costs. I'm not so sure that if it splits the difference between the cost of the GT ($30-36k) and the GT500 ($49-51k)that it will snag a lot of Camaro fans.

$36-38K to start (depending on source. I would guess closer to $38K myself)

Original info was 39k....but that was a few months ago. Pretty much nailed everything else though.
