Ford: "The road ahead..."
Ford: "The road ahead..."
I have to tell you, I'm impressed with these new commercials about as much as I am by "An American Revolution." I knew Ford would answer, but geeez, these really grab you. An American Revolution is good for patriocy and all that (even though only a small percentage of labor for GM is done in American right now...) but these new Ford ads actually aim for you as an individual. A big
to Ford on answering GM. Now lets see what GM shoots back with
Re: Ford: "The road ahead..."
That would be Chevy...not GM.
Reminds me of this quote
After the "Year of the Car" blew up in there face, I guess "The Road Ahead" is the next best thing.
American Revolution still owns the best tag line for any car company.
Both are MUCH better then Nissans "Shift_(insert verb or noun)"
Reminds me of this quote
Dont knock Fords, man. 98% of all Fords are still on the road...the other 2% made it home.

Re: Ford: "The road ahead..."
I've heard some funny Ford jokes before but I think that takes the cake. I for one will probably never own a Ford product again, but the're still a major player in the car business so this ad should help them get some market share back.
Re: Ford: "The road ahead..."
how about dodge's "hit it" they try to make their cars/trucks look real rugged, like every guy wants one. With that b##ch that says "your such an aaa... wonderful man." I don't know about you but that i thought that was stupid. where the hell does dodge get this crap from? hahah
Re: Ford: "The road ahead..."
You should see the multimillion dollar media buys by Ford in current issues of Newsweek, People, Time, etc. right now. I've never seen such a good print campaign by a car company in a magazine... muchless such a long one (14 pages in Newsweek). They are amazing, and the comercials are just as good. Make sure to keep an eye peeled for the new Mustang comercials, I've seen an advanced screening of them and boy are they good.
Ford is really being turned around by Bill Ford (I think that's his name

Re: Ford: "The road ahead..."
I too thought they were great commercials as well, though the american revolution commercials are great too.
Other dumb commercials: Honda comparing people to their cars.
I've yet to see a good dodge commercial.
Mazdas spirit of a sports car in every vehicle, right
I cant think of other comercials right now.

wait till you see the "cornfield" commercial. It will choke you up.Steve McQueen does a field of dreams ride in a new GT.I saw it on a giant screen TV at Gary Yeomans Ford in Daytona and it was awsome.
Re: Ford: "The road ahead..."
I like the new ad campaign. They are playing up the AWD angle on the 500 and Freestyle, which is a very good thing.
My favorite new commercials are the Mercury Mariner ones. I especially like the one where the woman is driving and almost gets hit by another car. Her male passenger says "woman driver." The next shot shows him by the side of the road with her pulling away.
It's funny............ and I love funny commercials.

Keep an eye peeled for the new Honda CR-V comercial also. It features a Jaguar XJ220. In this comercial, the cars are being ran around a course as if they are show dogs. It is currently playing, but not often and I don't know what channel. I have only seen it once.
If you like the new Ford 500, keep an eye out for the new comercial featuring dancing cars on a wet road in the next few weeks/days; it is pretty good. Sadly, there are no new Ford GT comercials planned and the "classic" sky blue and orange paint job is not going to be available (or not to the public any longer).
