~350HP 5.4L I'm guessing. Price it at $29K and I'd consider one for my next car. (assuming no Camaro comes out )

 

I dunno. The new Mustangs at first glance I thought cool.

The more and more I look at them the more and more I think they look *ODD*...

 

Why not just put the old Cobra engine in it? More HP, makes more sense.

 

That scoop looks VERY small.

 

That would be sweet. We know the 390hp supercharged 4.6 will still be in production. Atleast one vehicle will be using it, and that being the SVT sporttrac truck. Slipping it into 5k-7k Mach-1's a year shouldn't be that hard.

On the other hand, i wouldn't mind a sub 390hp 5.4L Dohc either though i'd prefer the supercharged 4.6 mill just cause it is a proven motor.

 

Looks good, even if a bit predictable.

 

They forgot the chin spoiler. Well, that and the appearance doesn't change as much as it did with the 04 Mach (for example different C pillars and rear windows).

 

I agree, it doesn't have nearly the impact of the SN95 Mach 1.

 

i'm with WERM and Z284ever on this one. i'm not a big mustang fan(even though my girl and her parents are mustang faithful) and even i will stare at an SN95 Mach 1. this one just doesn't have the same impact as say the new GT500 does.

 

Its that big mouth bass grille man, it makes the regular mustang grille look sedate by comparison. To bad, cause the shebly grill and shaker hood would be a good combo.

I wonder whats under the hood? a 5.4 3v would be nice putting down 350 to 375hp.

 

This one isn't nearly as visually exciting as the SN95 Mach 1. I thought that Mach 1 had the best looking wheels to ever go on a Mustang.

That's what I was thinking.

I think the hood in the SN95 Mach 1 bulged more with that scoop sticking out, and just looked more muscular, while the new Mustang's hood simply clears the engine, and the scoop doesn't have the same impact as a result.

 

Ya i remember seeing that car a few times, but didn't think anything of it, didn't even catch my eye, as I thought it was just a cheap hood scoop or somthing some regular gt owner slapped on....not nearly aggressive visually as it needs to be. Raise the hood, raise the scoop, among other things.
