While you're at it...

They didn't have the chin spoiler (I already mentioned)
No Hood buldge surrounding the scoop
They used the WRONG WHEELS (It's not a Bullitt Mustang hello?!)
They still didn't make the whole hood flat black
The rear side windows so needed to be changed

The 69-70 Mach's didn't have a hood bulge around the scoop so its not necessary for it to look good. I do agree it needs a flat black hood though. Mach 1 style wheels would help too.

It's not bad. No GT500 but I'd take one for sure if it had the supercharged 4.6 under the hood. Or better yet...the GT500 engine(with the same forged bottom end) sans the blower. How nice would it be to have that take it some place and get a nice big ole turbo stacked on it.

Sorry for the delayed reply my friend.
I JUST got back from Tonawanda/Buffalo, NY, and was opening E-mails when I decided to take a break and look at the board...
(Do you know who has a "Powertrain" plant in Tonawanda right beside 290 at the edge of the lake?
BTW, I got to put a few hundred miles on a BRAND NEW HHR. I took pics, and plan to start a thread in here with my review of the car soon.)

In short - at this time, I am unaware of ANY Mach 1 units being publicly displayed by Ford.

I am not even sure the car in these frames is touted to be a Mach 1?
There are no markings on it to claim such - at least not so I can see them.

I think this is a plain 2005 GT with the shaker scoop added to it, a rocker panel stripe kit, and aftermarket rims - all of which are readily available.
2005 Shaker Hood Scoop Kit
Here's the wheels from FRPP (Note even the centers match exactly)
The black rocker panel stripes... (available with/without "Mustang" or Ford Racing" text)

So I put these on my 2005 GT, and paint the rear spoiler black - and I have the car in the picture.
Also, I don't think you would see Ford doing a field study without major Ford sponsorship and staff posted around the car either. It wouldn't likely be sitting by itself the way this one was.

Ford IS working on the next SE car, but I still don't know if it will be Mach 1, Bullitt, or Boss yet. I do know that all 3 are being considered. We posted in this forum earlier this year that Thai-Tang was quoted saying the SE cars are coming. Given the Mustang commercials from last Novemebr/December, I think I know which one will come first.

Re: Dreamcruise Mach 1 concept?

THis is not a mach one, im from the themustangsource.com site and i can tell you thats not a mach one from ford or a concept. Its just a custom car. You can get 18 inch rims from anywhere, and thats a CDC shaker from classic design concepts.

^ thats the shaker system this guy used, lots of our memebers made there own boss and mach one look alikes using parts from this company. You can look at our memeber galalery.

Hmmm. Must be referring to the cornfield commercial, but I don't remember anything in particular that would indicate which special edition.

Judging from the paint scheme on the Foose edition, which you have to assume Ford was involved in (at least in a broad direction sense), I'm thinking Boss. We haven't seen that yet (except for dealer editions, right?), and both Bullit and Mach 1 have been done recently.

Was Stallion a factory SE? Given that the Pony is coming, maybe it's even more apparent with the Foose car what it will be ...

First part... yes, there was a "Stallion" Mustang produced by Ford for public sale, but not since 1978. If you are thinking about the '95 SuperStallion done by Colletti and Roush, it never was mass-produced.

Second part... Foose was not in any way involved with Ford for development of the car recently seen in the media, so don't take his or Boyd's designs as indicating anything coming from Ford.
They are doing their own thing - good as they may be.
Look to Steeda for future Mustang cues... He's the inside man right now.
SVT is doing drivetrain development.

PS - Right commercial, but you're on your own to guess the commercial intent.

The commercial had Steve McQueen in it. Not very hard to imagine what the first special edition will be.
