Dreamcruise Mach 1 concept?

Apparently Ford wanted to gauge reaction. I guess...ermmm...they do that with their enthusiasts.

Those Bullitt wheels are 18's. Note the shaker hood scoop. What's under that hood is still a secret.

Not bad. Still really don't like the styling, but it is better than the GTs. Wonder what is under the hood. The 5.4 perhaps?

Always liked those wheels though.

I don't know if this is the same car or not, but the 18" Bullitts are polished here.

A 5.4 has been one of the rumors......

We need ProudPony to jump in here.

What reaction is there to judge here? If you like the '05, you're going to like this.

I think that those polished rims look much better than the charcoal Bullitts. They give the car a bit of flash to go along with the flat black shaker scoop, decals, rear panel, and spoiler. I think the '05+ Mustang might actually be starting to grow on me.

To me, this just muddles it up even more.

Now you have a 67 styled retro-Mustang, wearing add-ons and nomenclature from the 69/70 Mustang.

I like it! I personally think the new mustang is a good looking car, just not impressed by the 4.6 in the GT. I still have faith that the Camaro will smoke it appearance and performance wise, but if not.......

I think the new 05 stangs resemble the 69's too as they have the 4 headlight setup. This is coming from a 69 Mach 1 owner too.

Granted, the 69's have 4 headlamps... but the 05 4-lamp GT styling was borrowed from the 67 Mustang... just like most of it's styling.

The 67 Mustang had 2 headlamps, but the GT offered the in-board auxillary lamps...

(FWIW, 69 and 70 Mustangs are by far my favorite Mustangs of all time... my father-in-law has a red/red 69 Mach 1 as well.. with the 428 Cobra Jet)

I'm familiar with the 67 setup but i personally see more similarities in the front end with the 69. The 69's are the best, thats why i own a 69 mach 428cj car.

Agreed. The shaker hood looks out of place, and the clear covers for the headlights ruin the lines of the front end.
