INSTEAD of a cuda/challenger which I happen to think they should bring back [and target past camaro buyers]. Actually whats bugging me is the fact that by using this paint, they are hinting that the NEON is a replacement for a CUDA

There were a ton of sweet paintjobs back then, including the ones on the dusters and darts. take the Duster Demon for example Its even a very similar, and also very cool looking paint job. I think if they have to use a historically based paintjob, it should be from a car in its class, which I think would be the duster/dart. Its kinda like seeing a "35th anniversary" cavalier with the exact same wheels, stripes, and even hood scoop as the 35th anniversary camaro. Just flat out stupid IMO.
Oh, but I definetly agree with you about sublime green

Oh That.
Well, I disagree.
Just refer to the current RumbleBee thread. Under that assumption....there should be no such package....
That yellow is a musclecar color...and "RumbleBee" sounds too much like "SuperBee". So under your definition the (IMO) pretty cool RumbleBee package should not exist. That's just silly if you ask me.
As far as comparing a 35th anniversary Camaro and Cavalier...I'm not sure how valid that is.
The Camaro and Cavalier are contemporary cars. The "Cuda has been gone for over 3 decades. It's parent company---Plymouth---is gone too.
But if we accept that analogy....I have no problem with a red Cavalier with black inserts on it's wheels and some decals.

I dont see anything wrong with taking an appearance option from one car and moving it to another, especially if its a COMPLETELY different platform (truck vs. car). It technically has nothing to do with the vehicle itself.
Therefore, I think that if they are going to bring the AAR paint back, it should be backed by the full package... and it should be on a vehicle that is AT LEAST equal to the status of the original car. A hemi ram has a lot more in common with a super bee than a AAR cuda has with a neon. V8, rwd, two-door, etc. The only thing a srt-4 has in common with an AAR is the fact that its a performance car.... but it is not a streeted racer or a flagship performance car. Which, I think is what makes the AAR stand out. Bring it back and offer the whole thing, not just the paint job. anywho, when DCX starts using neons in NHRA drag racing, NASCAR, trans am races, and everything else, then Ill guess ill give in.

As long as that SRT-4 concept didn't come in one of the TWENTY colors available on the AAR 'Cuda, didn't have a flat black hood, didn't have digital fade stripes that say SRT-4........then you're OK with that.
BTW....SRT will be racing the SRT-4 in both organized road racing and drag racing.
Sorry Joel, I'm not convinced.

If you're ok with the SRT-4 concept....then what are we debating about?
