Also, the next "Neon" will resemble the Vibe more than the current Neon.

 

Dart = I don't know maybe.... too 70's/80's
Duster = reminds me of those pile o'crap late 70's & 80's cars
Demon = cool name but might be too aggressive for a small car that a lot of girls buy, this name would probably work better on a special edition
Swinger = Austin Powers, or the official car of people who trade wifes

How about a new name Dodge

 

Demon is the name that is rumored to be the "new" Neon. I also keep hearing that it is suppose to be on some kindof Mistu chassis. That Vibe thing makes me scared. I hope they don't turn it into a Dodge version of the PT.

 

The '06 Lancer and '06 "neon" will share a new platform.

 

The next gen Stratus/Sebring will share the same platform.

There may be an SRT-4 type coupe in the mix too....except it'll be alot faster.

I find it odd that DC dropped all of their funding to Mitsubishi and now they are going to make cars that share platforms.

 

Don't ruin the names damnit. They already went with 'Cuda stripes and hood theme for the SRT4............just don't.....

 

Demon is cool. Yeah, the next gen Neon will be a hatch back. The name "Neon" for the longest time was just a ghey name. Just look it when people discuss the SRT4... "yeah its fast...but its still a Neon."

 

You notice that the SRT-4 doesn't use the Neon name. Dodge wants to distance the SRT-4 from Neon.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the next one called Demon SRT-4.

 

DCX dropped Mitsu because of slow sales in Japan, so why would they still be sharing a platform? My vote goes for neither. Call it something else.

 

I think those names should be kept in the past unless they put them on rear wheel drive cars...aka Charger. Don't ruin them by putting them on a Neon like Chevy did with the Nova.

 

Label me old-fashioned, but I agree with the above.

 

How about the Dodge Pixie ?

 

I don't know, I don't think I have a problem with the SRT-4 replacement getting a cool old name.
