Ya, I can see either one going into CTS-V... but to be honest, with the great changes going on at Cadillac, I really do think they'll go the 400hp route...

Cadillac is doing some really good things right now... I expect them to step up and deliver... If they are honestly trying to change Cadillac's image and make them a world-contender, they need to not take the short route on things... not that 350 hp is bad, but 400+ is better!

Before all this big debate ....didnt BL confirm the 400 hp rating publicly . Could be wrong , but I thought I read that here .

I don't get it. I'm all for a mid-size rwd irs V8 6-speed sport sedan from Cadillac, but the CTS is FUGLY. It's so TALL, and the front end is the exact shape of a cow-catcher at the front of a locomotive. Ugliest car on the planet since the Aztek. I don't care how wonderful it is underneath, there's no way I'd consider one. They should've studied the Lexus IS300 for styling inspiration (except the taillights).

I love the way the CTS looks and especially the CTSV pics that I have seen. As far as the IS300, I don't like that car at all. It is so boring, it could be an Accord. Lutz said he wants Cadillac to be second to none in luxury, I hope they do it. It will be interesting to watch.

Cool

This car just keeps getting better and better. Right now it sounds like it's going to be an awesome car.

I got this from "The Car Connection" site.

"here’s the nearly 350-horsepower 5.7-liter V-8 CTSv caught while crossing the California desert earlier this week"

Sounds like an Ls-1 and not an Ls-6.

Well, I dig the Solstice, SS and GTO...and I know I'll love the C6 but excluding the cars I just mentioned, GM just makes me yawn...

CTSv...eh...whatever. Great to see a GM division showing some innovation and a serious interest in performance, but, I'd still buy a 3 series or a G35.

Basically what I'm trying to say is BUILD ME A 5TH GEN!!!

Maybe they will offer the 2 engines like with the vette.

Though GM seems to have a habit of retracting advertised power levels (SSR, Silverado SS, GTO).

The bar for power level keeps geting raised, its no time to keep going back on what you say.

Good. Any confirmation on the price? i'm skeptical about the $35k.

Nothing on price yet, but i'm laughing at anyone who thinks they will price it below $45k. I'm thinking $50k.

Hope you're wrong, but I doubt it.

If someone came to this site 3 years ago, and said that within 36 months, with a few exceptions, everyone would become Cadillac fans, I'm sure they would have been drawn and quartered.

Since everyone's on a Cadillac high, what did everyone think of the Caddy commercials on the Super Bowl yesterday?
