I am 22, almost 23 and when I graduate in a few month and hopefully get a job the CTS-v is one of the cars on the top of my list to look at.

I like the styling, far better than the rest of the clones out there and hopefully they will keep it near the 400 HP mark, add the 6-speed they are putting in it, plus the luxury of a caddy. Can't beat it

Ha! I've got all of you beat! I'm 19 and I think this is going ot be one of the sweetest rides on the street! If I could, I might pick this over the new GTO. It would be a close call. I think Cadillac is doing a great job at shattering the geezer image!

I love it! This is a huge car for GM and Cadillac. I can't wait to see one up close. Does anyone know if they are still planning a coupe version?

Man when was the last time we've seen enthusiasm across the board for one single GM product like we're seeing for the CTS? GM will be alienating a lot of people if this one comes out with disappointing numbers. Dont let us down Bobby, the masses have spoken!

This is the only GM car I am excited about currently. I am looking to buy a new 4 door car and I was only looking at the BMW 530 or 540 but the CTSv is on the list as well.

This is a car to be excited about!!!!

cool....hope the LS6 makes it.

On a some what related note, anyone notice no more 5 spd Licoln LS? They discontinued it, citing slow sales.

Anyone know how many CTS are 5 speed (manual)??

And even further, any more on the plans for a 400 HP Lincoln LS of their own? Seems like it'd be pretty realistic seeing how power-happy Ford has gotten lately.

IMO a sport sedan should always have a manual option. Auto critics don't look kindly on slushbox-only "sport" vehicles.

Doesn't the LS share the 3.9L v8 with the Thunderbird? If so then the new Thunderbirds S/c'ed 390hp 3.9L v8 might make it's way over to the Lincoln Ls. That's a very likely possibility.

One thing that caught my eye in that article was this quote

"Though the early hubbub suggested a 400-hp version was in the works, 350 hp seems more likely."

350hp sounds more like an Ls-1 then an Ls-6. I hope that isn't the case. But at the mentioned price of $35k, the Ls-1 sounds like the planned powerplant for the CTS-v. But think of this, the GTO for $35k has the 350hp Ls-1. Why would the more luxurious Ls-6 equipped Cadillac CTS-v go for the same price? Just a thought.

I think it looks great! I cant believe it but I would actually love to own a cadillac... but I do agree that it does need bigger wheels or tires to correct its stance... but its just a spy pic

I've like liked the CTS since it came out and the CTS-v is just gonna be badass . Take the spy shot , add the intended mesh grill , some 18" Fiske FM-10 wheels and Eibachs , short throw shifter ....hmmmmm , I wonder how long before the first Turbo kit is out ....maybe a magnacharger ?

305fan - I have read Cadillac will be pushing the 6-speed in advertising for the CTS-v .

I'm another young one ....29

Vortech sells LS1/LS6 superchargers that would easily go on this car.

Thumbs down

You know, I didn't like the original CTS, and I don't like this car either. I feel like such a pessimist lately, but I just haven't liked anything GM has come out with recently.

I do really like the DTS though, as well as the new Mustang.

The engine bay and packaging is entirely different than a vette or f-body . About the only thing you could use is the blower bracket and the blower itself and only if all the accessories stay in the same locations .

Then it's a perfect opportunity to either make the kit fit (which is what I had in mind), or make your own! I love DIY stuff. Hell, if you'd like, I'll mail you a list of my consulting fees and you'll have the first 500 HP CTS-v on your block!

That site was reporting 350hp instead of the 400ish that pretty disappointing. It sounds like maybe its going to be a LS1 instead of the LS6.
Well the LS1 will more than do. I was just hoping for a LS6. I heard a 6-speed box is going to be available.
