How much is the last generation Lightning?
Around 4,700lbs i think.

Evil turbo SS kind of brought this up, but whatever happened to the turbocharged I-5? Would anyone prefer seeing that in place of an LsX v8?

http://www.chevrolet.com/colorado/specifications/

Extended Cab ZQ8 is 3526lbs., LS2 is a pretty light V8, 100-150lbs. extra maybe?

Turbo I5 should be used in a new GMC Syclone A lower boost turbo I5 would make a good H3 Alpha engine.

Colorado SS = 400HP LS2
GMC Syclone = 330HP Turbo I5
H3 Alpha = 290HP Turbo I5 (also make this avalible as an option in the Z71 Colorado )

They did that with the Silverado SS and people cried about it. I'd like to see the SS package applied to all 3 cab configs on the Colorado. There should also be some sort of hi-performance Z71 with something like a low boost turbo or s/c I5.

A Supercharged I-5 making about 265hp would be fairly decent for like an option for a colorado. Also a 6.0 based v6 and also a 5.3 v8.

It would be kinda cool to get a preformance 4x4 like a Silverado SS Z71 crew cab with 5.3 v8 making 300 hp. Thing is it wouldn't tread on the ZQ8 or a Z85 Colorado cause with all the weight a z71 package puts it would be slower.

Also it would be neat for GM to make a SS silverado with the 2wd and Z71 model's with a 395 LS2 with 6 speed. You could put this powertrain on the Z71 Silverado or you can pick the preformance oriented Silverado with suspension, lowered ride height, ect ect.
