Colorado SS pics....
Re: Colorado SS pics....
I never really have liked the look of the new Colorado.
But they should definetly build it. I think it would give the SRT-10 Ram a run for the money because it is much lighter, smaller, and cheaper.
I say for the hot-rod pickups, screw the fullsize trucks with monster engines, monster size, and monsterous weight. Put the biggest possible motor in the smallest possible package(imagine a Viper V10 Dakato
) The SRT-10 Ram weighs 5150lbs, while an extended cab sport Colorodo weighs 3526lbs, a 4 door crew cab weighs 3843, and a regular cab sport weighs 3363lbs

I hate the Colorado Cruz concept nose I think it looks too cartoony and half hearted looking covering up the area between the 2 main lights. That's all I hate about it the body is awesome. and the powertrain is AWESOME

Looking at it again the only real complaint I have is the rims, who wants 20"s on a performance vehicle I want an option for 17" or at least 18"s
Re: Colorado SS pics....
I agree on the 20s. Too big for a performance truck. No reason the Colorado SS should cost anymore than very low $30k's. What really needs to happen is AT LEAST a 6-speed as well as the truck being made period. Even if we're stuck with an auto, a 4-speed is unacceptable. The truck does look awesome though that's for sure.

Maybe the center grill of the Colorado SS is a hint at the future Chevy trucks?
To tell you the truth I liked the chrome bar the trucks have now just going to be wierd to see these trucks maybe move away from it now cause growing up that was what a Chevy truck looked like to me Bowtie in the middle with a bar spearing from the sides of the bowtie.......
My friend has a 99 or 2000 Silverado with the 5.3 with a chip and it runs pretty decent I think......but something like this colorado with a 6 speed would set the preformance truck market on fire.......

Re: Colorado SS pics....
Holy crap. If they put a six speed behind that thing, I might have to buy one. And I am a guy who thinks Lightnings and SRT10s are kind of worthless. LS2 plus 3600 lb curb weight (instead of nearly 5000 lbs +/- 200 for the Ram and Lightning) plus six speed gearing equals decent fuel economy AND kick *** performance (like possibly quicker than a GTO if you could get the rear to hook up).
I'm happy to see that this is the 2nd time a small block has been placed under the hood of the Colorado...

That is a great looking truck! I think it would be smart of GM to make some fast trucks that are affordable instead of going after the high dollar/super fast truck market. I don't think it will have an LS2 if produced, but it might have the truck equivilent when it debuts in the new Pick-ups and full size sport utes.
Re: Colorado SS pics....
i was told that Silverado wheels wouldnt fit the colorado? how did they make those fit? if they fit that good ill have me a set before next spring in some nice blingin chrome.
