same lug pattern, different offset. You can use Silverado Rims, they just need to be machined.

You can't get this truck, it isn't planned for production (yet )

how much do they have to be machined and how much does that typically cost?

i know, thats what makes keeping my truck seem like a good idea.

that is badass, wonder how hard an LS6 swap is...

What's wrong with an extended cab? Thats perfect if the SS was offered in ext. cab. It would actually be useful and quick...but the sad part is that the Colorado should really be offered with a V8 anyway. That way V8 performance and 4x4 capability could be had and would make for one badass truck that you could tow and off-road with.

I'm not sure what the offsets are, I just know they are different. $50 per rim don't quote me on that.

The only way I'd buy it is if it came in Crew cab.

I'd love to see a Turbo I5 of V8 offered in a Z71 Colorado.

Agreed. I WOULD have bought a 2002 ZR2 s-10 if a v8 had been availible. I decided not waste my hard earned money... and im glad I did, im much happier with the camaro i ended up buying ... used. (so, thats essentially one less sale GM made) and before you ask why i didnt buy a new z28, the parents wouldnt let me have one right when i turned 16 (bought the 95 at 17)

That is awesome. This truck would make Toyota's new sport truck look like an afterthought in the performance arena. Build it GM!

IMO the Colorado doesnt need a v8 to be any sort of contender outside of the Performance Truck arena. i get around VERY nicely with the 3.5 I5 in mine with an auto and 3.73 gears.(i knew the engine was gonna be rev happy so i made sure to get the best gears i coould)

my friend is currently looking at trucks and he keeps going back to a 3.5 powered Colorado/Canyon. he said he liked its power more than he did that of the v8 powered Dakota. that speaks loads i think.

Re: Colorado SS pics....

Well, if he was looking at the redesigned Dakota, I can certainly understand him wanting the Colorado/Canyon.

Damn that thing is hideous. First the Durango, now the Dakota............... Dodge trucks are certainly catching the ugly train lately.

Re: Colorado SS pics....

Simply Amazing!!!

I like it... I think they could sell a ton of those! I see no reason for them not to build it. I'd go so far as to say that it'd be a nice way of keeping the interest in Chevy trucks until the new full size trucks come out...

BTW... any more info on the new full size trucks??? when will we start to learn more about them? My 00 Z71 is right at 150K and I'd like to be getting a new truck but I keep telling myself to hold out until the new ones get here...

Re: Colorado SS pics....

My understanding is that the Tahoe/Suburban will be out for the 2006 model year, and the trucks 1 year later. Thus, you have a 2 year wait for the new truck.

If I am incorrect, I'm sure that someone will correct me.

surprisingly enough he was looking at the last year of the older body style (04 maybe?). not the one that looks like the ugly *** durango. nothing about that dakota was even remotely nice. in fact i would have taken my old 91 S10 Blazer over it.
