Chevy says Camaro is coming back?

Chevy politics....I guess.
Pontiac...on the other hand....reserved it's best hardware for use in Trans Am.

*Corvette lost it's 454,
*Z28 died,
*350 4 barrel Chevy engines put out just 155 horsepower,
*Chevy Monzas were powered by 120 horsepower 350 2 barrel V8s,
*Chevrolet killed the "SS" designation across the board
And I'm complaining about Chevrolet having nothing now! It was far worse then.
At least today we have blown Impalas & Montes.
This might be off topic but the history lesson is really great.
What killed the Monza? Was it that or the Vega that required removing the enigne for the last two plugs (read about that in a product design book recently). It would seem to me that the Monza would have been a very hot package had they been able to keep it: high power V8, rwd, in a compact and light chassis.
Was it just too ahead of it's time?
