The BMW part is, I think, icing on the cake....and it certainly helps!

BMW was really good about letting Rover keep the essence of the old Mini in the new Mini..and yet incorporate BMW levels of quality and execution. BMW's execution of the Mini is simply a homerun. Every detail is just sooooo neat. From the styling, to the interior, to the way the S's hoodscoop mates to the intercooler....it's just right on.

And maybe that's something that Nomad, somehow, misses the mark on. In certain ways the Nomad seems...oh I don't know what the word is......generic? Like I said previously, the Nomad is really close, but something is missing that I can't put my finger on.

BTW, I know someone who works for Rover. Before Ford purchased Rover...he was looking forward to getting a Mini as a company car, now he HAS to settle for a Range Rover.
