H2 sales down 33% in Jan.

That caps off 5 continuous months of sales volume losses.

Boy, I didn't see that one coming

I must be out of the loop, because I'm not sure what the pseudoluxury SUV of the moment is at this time. Watching five minutes of MTV would probably educate me.

I believe the H2 could have been a success if only the Duramax was an option.
The original Hummer alway had a diesel, although it is noisy thing........not like the new Duramax

H2 was selling like wildfire for a $50k+ vehicle from it's launch.... it was bound to slow down at some point.

Smoke and mirrors will only take you so far.

The H2 is a $50,000, 6000lbs, 11mpg, 5 passenger vehicle , with a cheap interior and poor visibility.

It can't be a hot seller forever.

Maybe people are starting to figure out that thier "hummer" is actually an overpriced Tahoe.

Does that make the SSR an Overpriced TrailBlazer?

Um, actually, yea.

To anyone that's followed trends in the upper-end SUV market in the past 5 years, it's clear that a new models spends a few months on top, and then slides down to make room for the next champion of conspicuous consumption.

How many years does GM plan to build the Hummer H2? You can't exectly redesign it, it has to look a Hummer. IMO It is kind of in the same boat as the Retro styled cars.

I don't care for the H2, but that would be kind of cool.
