Charger coupe...
Re: Charger coupe...
That's a pretty hot looking pic.
I like the older car styling........but I wasn't born early enought to enjoy it firsthand.
Now that all these retro style concepts are out and about.........possibly I'll have my chance - and have a new&better engine lineup to pick from.

Re: Charger coupe...
I wish the title to this thread was something else. It's nothing but a photoshop and I was hoping for a coupe pic of what will actually be sold.
I dont care either way on the retro debate...the new mustang is growing on me and its not like 'retro' is a recent discovery anyways. GM and Ford don't have the ***** to come out with NEW and DISTINCT designs/styles anyways, so as long as I have my (pro) domestic bias, I'll just live with it.
I think the actual Charger coupe will be badass as well. And having said that, I'm glad this revival/phoenix will NOT be retro.

Re: Charger coupe...
Like the pic above I think all they needed to do was just make the current car a two door. It doesn't have to have a retro front and rear end change. It just needs to shed the two rear doors and a little overall length. It has some aggressive lines and looks decent, it's just that it's a freakin 4 door that is killing it for me. That just adds too much size and kills the look or a sports/muscle car to me. I would definitely dig the current car in two door form, not only would it look better it would shed some size/weight from the car which at this point is pretty damn bloated...
Re: Charger coupe...
I'm not sure how much weight it would lose (probably not a lot) but edmunds.com suggests that its likely that the coupe editions might come as well, as special model names...with the SRT8 set-up.

It seems GM is not allowed to do, dare I type it R***O! Its only OK for the other brands, that new Mustang is about as retro as you can get, and the masses are eatin' em up!

Seems like a double standard. If you like the original, one would think, you would like to see a modern interpretation of it. GM seems to have a whole set of rules they have to play by.
