Hawtness... Its not that retro... It's not like we have had 40 years of charger like mustang and then they decided to set back the clock.

 

They did get it right the first time....in 1969.

That doesnt even look like it would fit on an LX body. It looks like a Photoshop'ed 69 Charger to me. Nothing more. Its a hot picture, but I dont see anything "modern" or that would lead me to belive that its off a modern chassis.
This is nothing more then a really cool picture of a 1969 Charger. Want one? Barret Jackson sells a handful of these a year...grab yourself 50k and start bidding.

Considering I like the Mustang I wouldn't say "all you guys". And this is one thing about the whole retro thing and those that are saying "if you want a blah blah blah go buy a real one..." I'd be glad to when....
I can buy one brand new
get a warranty
the car magically updates it's underpinnings and engine to modern tech

Until then telling somebody that LIKES retro styling to go buy a "real" one is kind of pointless unless you fellows want to spot them the extra cash to properly update the car to 2005 level in general livability.

Back on topic...
I think this looks great. Although I WOULD like to see it with the SRT-8 front end with that particular back end. But all these photoshops of what the Charger "should" have looked like are pointless. That boat has sailed and there is nothing we can do about it. Best to think of ways to make what we KNOW is going to be coming out look better than keep hoping for something that is not going to happen.

Did you look at that huge black mass under the grill..the front end is too tall..DCX tried to do the concept charger on this platform and it failed..

Dont get me wrong.. I also REALLY love the production one. Really really like it.

I was close to convince the GF to get one actually around xmas time. But she wants us to get a used camaro now instead... and a sporte utility for winter. DOH!
